The Associate Product Manager will report into the Product Management Leader Team with responsibility for providing support to internal customer groups, product managers and investors.  In addition, the Associate Product Manager will support the product managers regarding needs related to new product implementations, product maintenance and live loan support.

Principal Duties:

  • Manage Product Management inbox and respond to inquiries from all customer groups including  Sales, Operations, Compliance, Legal and Investors within a timely manner.
  • Maintain all investor applications and re-certifications as needed (annually/ biennially).
  • Govern Fee Admin, Funding Fee Admin and MI Admin tools to support technology/system setup of both new and existing products.
  • Conduct UAT, trouble-shoot and provide support for live-loan and product update needs.
  • Assist Product Managers with execution of new product implementations.
  • Operate Bond and MI Investor Bulletin intake, assessment and communication.
  • Ensure compliance with Newrez policies, processes and practices.
  • Perform other functions including managing project work, as required by leadership.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
  • 1-2 years of mortgage experience including an understanding of industry-specific products, pricing, underwriting and loan origination platforms.
  • Previous product management or product support experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of mortgage loan processing, compliance, investor products and underwriting guidelines.
  • Knowledge of mortgage insurance (MI) guidelines
  • Knowledge of GSE, FHA, VA, USDA, and Non-Confirming loan products and guidelines.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service orientation.
  • Ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize tasks and responsibilities; effective time management.
  • Strong analytical skills; effective decision making skills with the ability to appropriately exercise independent judgment.
  • Strong quality orientation with an attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as, effectively function as a member of the Product Management Team.
  • Accountability; strong work ethic.
  • Integrity, ability to maintain and work with confidential information.
  • Strong business, financial and technical acumen.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills to include MS Word & Excel.
