JOB SUMMARY

The Arch Insurance Digital Product Management team has responsibility for solving human and business problems with new technology. This role drives the product strategy, product roadmap development, and market delivery/operation of the product offering in assigned business segment. The Digital Product Manager will work closely with business partners and IT to effectively execute against digital initiatives including Partner Products, web/mobile channel, and Enterprise Technologies.

The incumbent will be an effective communicator, who is action oriented, thinks strategically, and is skilled in both product strategy and operational efficiencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with the Strategic Operations Manager, as well as Business & IT leaders to develop & maintain product roadmaps that will be incorporated in to the broader company product portfolio plan

  • Build & foster relationships with key stakeholders to validate product strategy and roadmap

  • Plan, prioritize, and manage the product feature backlog from concept through user adoption

  • Lead product release planning, setting expectations for delivery

  • Coordinate with Engineering and development teams to ensure consistent execution of product plans

  • Actively and collaboratively mitigate roadblocks by engaging business & IT partners to develop and execute action plans to address gaps

  • Work with IT and Business partners to ensure the digital product in operation are well understood and supported

  • Assist with preparation of business case (financial/ROI) analysis to quantify & determine the value to the company of a current or potentially new system/application. 

  • Understands the customer and their needs.

  • Delivers with an Agile framework

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong background in the commercial insurance industry or a related financial services / general insurance industry

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts in a clear, understandable way 

  • A proven track record of product delivery, with preference for development within an Agile Framework

  • An action oriented & customer first mindset, comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven and evolving environment. 

  • Ability to evaluate, analyze and interpret the voice of the customer through a variety of data sources

  • Ability to be strategic and tactical in day to day interactions

  • Good consensus building skills

  • Ability to overcome internal barriers and negotiate resource constraints to produce successful digital initiatives

  • Ability to establish credibility, influence and effective working relationships with peers and stakeholders.

  • Comfortable interacting and partnering at all levels across the organization

  • Working knowledge of usability and user experience design

  • Ability to understand data and how it relates to product delivery within the insurance industry; e.g. can write basic SQL, understands dimensional models, data quality, and master data management.

Education & Experience:

Required knowledge & skills would typically be acquired through a Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer science or related field (or equivalent in experience) with 3 to 5 years or related experience.

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

$115,000 - $163,000/year

  • Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
