Job Description

The Manager, Product Management, Bath will report directly to the Senior Manager, Bath Product. The Manager, Product Management, Bath will deliver business value to increase market share, revenue, and profitability in core market segments. The role will focus on developing and delivering value through the creation of a strategic vision and execution of a product roadmap that aligns priorities throughout the entire customer journey. Successfully developing and executing the vision will require gathering and prioritizing customer, market, competitive, and operations requirements and trends, translating varied and competing inputs into an aligned product roadmap, orchestrating execution of the roadmap from concept to post-launch refinement, and evangelizing solutions to both internal and external audiences with passion and clarity of message. Evaluating pricing and profitability opportunities and collaborating with Engineering, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Operations, Finance, and Marketing will be crucial to ensuring both revenue and customer goals are met. The Manager, Product Management, Bath must consistently act as the voice of the customer and market and will take the leadership role in supporting business reviews, articulating product vision, and presenting across all organizational and customer levels. 

YOUR ROLE:

  • Creates a winning product road and experience that drives market share while achieving revenue growth targets across traditional and emerging (digital) channels and market segments.

  • Delivers profitability targets via pricing, continuous improvements, innovations, and expense management.

  • Develops robust business cases and gain project alignment across multiple audiences.

  • Develops and executes strategies to enter new market segments and achieve aggressive growth targets; Creates product testing processes to minimize investment risk and proactively plan and manage potential Obsolete and Slow-Moving Inventory (OSMI) risks.

  • Leads winning product lifecycle, trend review, and Product Line Review (PLR) strategies and alignment with all customers and segments.

  • Delivers product objectives on-time; Evaluates opportunities to increase speed to market constantly.

  • Ensures pricing processes are documented and comply with all audit protocols.

  • Builds strong relationships with sales leaders, customers, and consumers to better understand and gain advantaged market leadership opportunities.

  • Leads market understanding through both macroeconomic and competitive analyses; Becomes the leading voice in understanding and interpreting competitive and market trends for bath categories.

  • Supports clear product positioning/messaging, pricing, and sales tool development with Marketing.

  • Leads, coaches, and develops product management talent; Optimizes organizational structure to deliver on commitments.

  • Refines and/or redesigns processes to better meet organizational goals; Be a strong proponent of the MasterBrand Way and lean tools.

  • Hire, trains and retains skilled staff through career development and mentoring.

  • Travels 20% of the time to support product development, customer visits, site visits, etc.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The individual must be able to remain in a stationary position for 90% of the time and constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. This includes typing, clicking, and writing. Frequently positions self to maintain information in drawers and shelving. Must be able to exchange accurate information and have the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Ability to read documents, emails, and computer screens, as well as see details on printed materials and presentations. Consistently works in an indoor setting. While traveling, the individual in this position needs to occasionally move about on the plant floor and/or in offices when going on customer visits and engage face to face with customers. Occasionally moves items weighing up to fifteen pounds across plant floor for various needs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is a remote position with the ideal candidate capable of working efficiently and independently from their home office to fulfill assigned tasks and meet deadlines. As a remote employee the candidate will need internet connectivity capable of supporting virtual communication tools that allow for collaboration with team members, attendance of meetings, and participation in company activities. The ideal candidate will be required to set up and maintain a suitable home office environment conducive to productivity. This includes having a dedicated workspace with a comfortable chair, desk, and adequate lighting. The candidate is expected to travel 20% of their time to support strategy development, customer visits, site visits, special projects, etc. This travel will require overnight stays and may be multiple days in duration.

Qualifications

  • An undergraduate degree and/or master’s in business administration, or other relevant degree or work experience.

  • A minimum of 5 years of proven track record in product management or a comparably complex role required.

  • Demonstrated go-to-market success creating value through definition and launch of exceptional products.

  • Proven ability to intimately understand and forecast market forces, including customer, and styling trends.

  • Demonstrated project management and process improvement experience.

  • High comfort interpreting financial information to make sound business decisions.

  • Must be willing to travel as needed to support critical initiatives.

  • Industry and product passion fueled by a strong desire to win.

  • Financial acumen with the ability to understand and action financial statements and product costing methodology.

  • Strong team orientation with the ability to influence, motivate, and enable others to succeed.

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to adjust message by audience – verbal, written, and presentation.

  • Ability to listen, gain alignment, and communicate effectively with team, customers, and key stakeholders.

  • Ability to prepare, plan, and execute to strategic objectives, Analytical and detail oriented.

  • Takes clear ownership and accountability for decisions and outcomes.

  • Demonstrated adaptability and resilience when facing obstacles.

  • Passionate problem solver with proven abilities to negotiate win/win resolutions.

  • Progressive product management experience leading diverse teams at multiple locations within a manufacturing organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop an efficient and engaged Product Management team and to manage multiple priorities and team members in an efficient & effective manner.

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) required.

  • Ability to travel 20% annually (domestic & international).
