The Amazon Publisher Monetization Prime Video SVOD Ads team is looking for an experienced product leader who will own defining the vision, strategy and roadmap for differentiated video advertising products that will delight advertisers/agencies and viewers alike.

Video advertising is an increasingly complex, multi-sided market with many technologies and players. The industry is rapidly growing and evolving as viewers are shifting from traditional TV viewing to Streaming TV and publishers are increasingly adding video content to their online experiences to garner market share. Prime Video has a unique combination of assets in our premium video content, wide customer reach, Amazon audience insights, and more, and thus is uniquely positioned to become the lead publisher for Streaming TV ads globally. This provides an opportunity for the right product leader to define the vision for market differentiated products and experiences.

To succeed in this role, you must be customer-obsessed - enjoy learning about customer needs, obsess over delighting customers, being innovative and ideating and launching 0 to 1 products and experiences. Have a high level of comfort with ambiguity, a deeply analytical mindset with the ability to investigate complex challenges, and the ability to effectively influence across organizations at the most senior levels. The right candidate will possess a strong product management background, will have demonstrated experience leading medium to large products and projects, and will have a well-rounded experience in advertising technologies and players. You must be able to thrive in a fast-paced start-up like environment. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in, and get the job done. You will have the ability to see the bigger vision from 10,000 ft up but also able to delve deep into the details. You will identify clear customer-driven requirements, prioritize their implementation in the product roadmap, help drive and support product development efforts on the roadmap, partner to craft and execute on winning GTM strategies, and define and monitor metrics that measure the success of products. You will play a major role in shaping the future of Prime Video SVOD Advertising worldwide!

Key job responsibilities
* Dive deep into understanding the voice of advertisers and how they leverage streaming TV advertising to drive their business goals
* Define the strategic vision for new product features in different locales by working backwards from customer needs
* Write Business Requirements Documents that drive the technical design and alignment on product launch deliverables
* Author 1, 4 and 6 page documents communicating your plans to internal stakeholders from across and at all levels within Amazon
* Work with product, engineering and program management to develop, prioritize, and deliver the product roadmap with key input-based goals to drive outcomes that meet our advertisersโ€™ goals as well as our growth goals
* Think outside the box and experiment autonomously with meaningful projects
* Create a roadmap for proof-of-concept launches to prove out the business model and innovative ideas
* Partner with Business teams, Sales, Product Marketing to deploy effective go-to market strategies that drive advertiser adoption
* Engage with cross-company business and product leaders to build and execute on strategic plans aligned with long-term objectives
* Define the success metrics for features or services and track performance. Utilise metrics to dive deep on issues and uncover business trends and anomalies

A day in the life



- 4+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- 8+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and effectively influence across cross-functional teams
- 3+ years experience in Ad Tech

- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
- Experience leading cross-organizational programs and setting and holding teams and individuals to timelines and deliverables without explicit authority

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
