T-Mobile seeks versatile a Product Manager to spearhead the strategic vision, execution, and leadership of products enhancing the projects and financial accounting processes. This role demands a blend of forward-thinking strategy, customer advocacy, and adept relationship-building. Responsibilities include identifying customer needs, ensuring technical feasibility, analyzing tradeoffs, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions for business outcomes. The focus is on moderinizing and connection the processes and capabilities that support projects in the Network, Retail and Software space and the downstream financial processes. We seek well rounded Product Managers with deep customer empathy, critical thinking, functional depth, and technical expertise. Day-to-day activities range from market research, capability identification and feature, user stories development to defining product strategy, creating roadmaps, managing backlogs, and integrate with the technical team through prototyping and solution launches.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Strategy

  • Influence and negotiate prioritization of delivery across numerous technology teams to support continuing improvements in the Project to Retire value streams processes through ERP implementation.  
  • Understand the end-to-end business processes enabled through the ERP and boundary connected applications; contribute to setting strategy for continuous improvement of process enabled by technology. 
  • Serve as the lead or contributing product manager on multiple strategic projects presenting and driving enabling technology decisions for T-Mobile systems. 
  • Connect business strategies to technology domains for delivery, leveraging well-defined structure of T-Mobile business processes, products, and capabilities. 
  • Act as innovation evangelist by being a thought leader in product modernization; regularly connect with software product teams to partner on future software product development
  • Conduct analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to identify root cause of issues and assess opportunity size and impact.  
  • Support analyzing future-state business capabilities, performance, cost, and solution designs of in-house and external software products to influence build vs. buy decisions. 
  • Develop the total cost of ownership (TCO) for each platform/application, assist with cost-benefit / return on investment / NPV analysis, to support decision making. 
  • Leverage customer insights to help build product vision, strategy, roadmap, priorities. 
  • Understand customers priorities and be a strong internal and external customer representative. 
  • Integrate seamlessly into an environment and culture that prioritizes a customer-first mentality, fostering a team atmosphere dedicated to understanding and meeting the needs of our customers. 

Product & Technology

  • Support all aspects of an agile software development process with a focus on vision, capability, feature and user story definition and providing support during functional design, solution prototyping, test execution and business readiness and adoption. 
  • Owns the product end to end as well as roadmap at the technology/functional level
  • Leads and manages product backlog and priorities with our business and technology partners; assesses how new trends impact the roadmap or create opportunities for innovation of the product.
  • Works with business to create business cases to support new enhancements and evaluates tradeoffs to achieve business outcomes.
  • Translates ERP product/platform strategy into actionable plans by crafting comprehensive feature descriptions and user stories that are easily digestible for development team.
  • Leads product backlog grooming sessions partnering with key resources
  • Contribute to key Agile ceremonies: Program Increment (PI) Planning / Big Room Planning; System Demo; Inspect and Adapt (I&A), etc. 
  • Collaborate with ERP and Integration Development and Execution teams to build and communicate anticipated release schedule. 
  • Manages feature and story elaboration activities across all Agile Teams throughout execution. 
  • Assist in running beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples. 
  • Support activities to achieve adoption and business readiness activities; partner with business operations teams to ensure process cutover is ready for system cutover.
  • Partners with the training organization and vendors to ensure proper use of adoption tools and training materials.

Additional requirements:

  • Excellent business and technical communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to convey results in a persuasive manner and at the appropriate level of detail.
  • Functional depth of knowledge in how projects are run and assets are created and the interconnectedness of project operational systems down to the financial systems through creation, repair, maintenance, and retirement. Project types include network buildouts, retail buildouts, and software development.
  • Knowledge about telecommunications industry, business processes, strategic technologies, and industry leading practices
  • Proven success in delivering software with Agile Scrum methodologies and other commonly used tools. 
  • Strong requirements elicitation, and proven writing skills including the ability to write concisely and clearly for different audiences. 
  • Experience with Agile backlog/project management tools. 
  • Experience with successive elaboration and ability to develop Initiatives, Features and User Stories that the DevOps teams can ingest. 
  • Experience in delivering large and sophisticated business/technology initiatives as Product Manager or lead technology role. 
  • Proven track record of efficiently connecting with leadership, while employing a high degree of collaboration and influence. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present sophisticated technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences including executives and non-technical leaders. 
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP a plus
  • Understanding of control design and documentation, and SOX compliance
  • Strong organizational skills to manage, prioritize and execute on competing activities.
  • Ability to negotiate between teams and reach consensus and support.

Experience and education requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems or related field; master’s degree a plus
  • 4+ years of Product Management or relevant experience in an agile software product development environment.

Base Pay Range: $100,100 - $180,600

Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
