Product Manager, Genomics

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Product Manager to lead the content development and management of our innovative genomic test products. This role will focus on translating complex genomic technologies and research into market-leading products that meet customer needs and industry standards. The Product Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including commercial, clinical operations, bioinformatics and regulatory to drive the end to end ownership of the genomics products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and implement the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for genomic products, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer demands.
• Product Documentation: Develop and maintain the product specification requirements for all genomics tests. Provide the source of truth for everything required to support and execute on the test product.
• Product Metrics: Monitoring of the product performance by having ownership of the product-level metrics for all clinical testing products. Use the data analytics, customer feedback, and performance metrics to optimize product features and incorporate changes into the product roadmap.
• Product Launch Driving: Working in partnership with Program Managers to drive successful product development and launches.
• Regulatory & Compliance: In partnership with the regulatory team, ensure that all genomic products comply with relevant industry regulations, including FDA, CLIA, and other genomic-specific standards.
• Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop product positioning and go-to-market strategies.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Prepare and present product updates, performance, and strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders. Continuously engage with key stakeholders to gather insights and feedback to inform product development and improvements.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in genetics, molecular biology, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) preferred.
• Experience: 3-5+ years of product management experience, preferably within clinical genomics, biotechnology, or life sciences.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of genomic technologies, bioinformatics tools, and applications in diagnostics, research, or personalized medicine.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects or programs and manage complex product lifecycles.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex commercial and scientific concepts into clear product strategies.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with genomics industry regulations and standards, including FDA and CLIA compliance.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and genomic data analysis platforms.
• Experience with product launches in the genomics or biotechnology space.
• Understanding of the rare disease and pediatric testing markets.
