General Responsibilities
The Product Manager I will be focused on analyzing the market at both the Puerto Rico and USA levels, comparing services offered by other institutions in the industry. This includes:
• Overseeing the assigned product or product family, managing its strategy, roadmap, lifecycle, and overall health.
• Developing documentation to support the product, including guidelines, training materials, usage instructions, and business cases.
• Maintaining an up-to-date product catalog and profile that accurately describes the product or service offerings.
• Exploring opportunities for new services, modifications to existing products, and cross-selling initiatives for current customers.
• Coordinating with EVERTEC's internal units to ensure alignment among the sales force, product managers, business analysts, and operational support for product development initiatives.
• Participating in various aspects of product development, including market and competitor analysis, and monitoring product performance.
• Providing guidance to sales teams, distribution channels, and partners.
• Developing and executing the product roadmap, driving value propositions, and ensuring the product remains relevant to clients and the marketplace.
• Meeting regularly with clients to support sales and gather market intelligence on evolving needs, designing customized solutions when necessary and advocating for the customer.
• Collaborating with marketing, sales, and other teams to compile market intelligence and analyze trends.
• Assisting in designing the solution and architecture of the product, working with business owners, IT, operations, and other stakeholders, and recommending alternatives or solutions based on business needs and technical requirements.
• Evaluating the financial aspects of product development, including budgets, expenditures, R&D appropriations, and ROI projections.
• Driving or recommending all aspects of commercialization and go-to-market strategy, including pricing, distribution and channel management, packaging, marketing, positioning, and partner selection and management.
• Overseeing the P&L for the product and service line, understanding key financial drivers, revenue and expense factors, profitability, budgets, margins, and ROI.
• Fostering business growth and ensuring profitability by exploring product expansions, new services, and modifications to existing products in new geographies and markets, making recommendations for investments, growth, expansion, and divestment based on analysis.
• Available to travel 10% of the time to assist at client facilities and attend industry-related events.
Performs duties through methods and actions that are consistently ethical and in total compliance with the laws, applicable regulations, Code of Ethics, corporate policies and guidelines and rules of conduct. Completes corporate trainings and certifications intended for the detection and prevention of money laundering related activities and fraud, insider training and conflict of interest policies and procedures, as applicable.
Education and Experience Required
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in Product Management, Business Requirements, Product Analysis, or Agile Methodology.
• Core Banking experience is a must.
• Proficiency in industry-standard project management tools and software.
• Experience in project management, including resource allocation, planning, scheduling, and risk management.
• Previous experience in the banking, technology, or fintech industries is highly preferred.
Knowledge and Skills Required
• Experience in Core Banking channels with strong business and financial acumen.
• Strategic planning and critical thinking skills.
• Consulting, communication, and negotiation abilities.
• Proficient in time management and project management.
• Strong decision-making and solution-building skills.
• Foster intelligent dialogues with clients regarding competitive offerings while maintaining effective conversations with experts in product technology and banking.
• Strong research skills to identify product enhancement opportunities and optimize services.
• Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Knowledge of data analysis and proficiency in Excel.
• Strong presentation skills using PowerPoint to create presentations for clients.
• Willingness to travel to summits and conventions and visit clients as needed.
• Eager to learn and adapt to new challenges.
Additional Information
Regular Hours
Available to work extended hours, weekends and/or holidays as needed and the availability to travel as required supporting projects in the region.
