Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership, and capacity plans to meet sales and profit targets.


The Global Product Manager will be responsible for high-speed backplane connector products in the Converged Data Solutions product team. Global Product Managers act as "mini" GMs, driving the overall product strategy, business leadership, and capacity plans to achieve revenue and gross margin targets that enable the product line's long-term competitiveness and success. This individual will develop and implement strategies for new business opportunities. This includes identifying growth opportunities within vital accounts and developing relationships with emerging customers and market segments. 

This role requires strong strategic thinking, experience working across regions, and a proactive, solid work ethic. It must also collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues in Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing to gain alignment and drive the successful execution of the product roadmaps.

  • Articulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape
  • Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking
  • Develop product roadmaps that align with business strategy
  • Define resource requirements necessary to execute the product roadmap
  • Work cross-functionally to define sales, technology, and operations strategies and goals, aligning with financial goals. 
  • Plan product launches, including the development of marketing and sales plans
  • Be the opportunity champion for PAC projects.
  • Build a strong connection with the target customer engineering team
  • Provide demand forecast inputs to S&OP and drive needed capacity
  • Manage the P&L (sales and gross or standard margin) for the assigned portfolio
  • Track progress to the business plan and facilitate the resolution of gaps. 

 

***This is a West Coast (USA) position. The ideal candidate will reside on the West Coast of the United States. ***

What your background should look like:

  • 5+ years of product management, sales, business development, or other relevant experience
  • 4-year technical or business degree required
  • Highspeed interconnect product or industry experience desired
  • Knowledge of highspeed interconnect signal integrity, and system architecture is preferred
  • Advanced degree (MBA) or relevant P&L management experience preferred
  • Strong business acumen with an ability to understand technically complex concepts
  • Creative and innovative thinker able to provide input on the development of product strategies and relevant business plans with the ability to execute
  • Proven ability to multi-task and drive results in a dynamic, high paced environment
  • Vital interpersonal, planning, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams both internally and externally
  • Advanced presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to foster understanding and acknowledgment of critical information both up and down the organization

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $137,300 - $205,900 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges based on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate and internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
