HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT:

The Sr. Product Manager will provide leadership and focused direction, by developing strategic plans and new product development roadmaps, develop and implement product line plans and policies, anticipate and respond to market needs, generate and implement new product ideas, prioritize and drive projects and resources, and remove barriers to ensure product line success.

 

THE DETAILS:

Product Line Development & Strategic Planning

  • Market Analysis & Strategy: Anticipate market trends and establish strategic product direction.
  • Plan Implementation: Develop goals, objectives, and strategies for product lines aligned with divisional plans.
  • Pricing & Offerings: Recommend pricing structures, product offerings, and inventory management.
  • Performance Monitoring: Set budgets and targets for margins, inventory, and capital investments.
  • Corrective Action: Address and resolve gaps to ensure product line success.

Product Line Support

  • Process Improvement: Use market intelligence and product evaluations to optimize processes.
  • Operational Prioritization: Manage product line operations and project priorities effectively.
  • Customer Service: Enhance delivery schedules and service levels through internal systems and vendor coordination.
  • Collaboration: Develop vendor agreements, sales promotions, and global pricing strategies.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Team Leadership: Lead and support product management teams while maintaining cross-departmental coordination.
  • Accountability & Supervision: Set goals, coach employees, and manage performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices in marketing and process enhancements.
  • Change Management: Drive and manage organizational change initiatives.

Communication

  • Relationships: Build strong relationships across teams, ensuring alignment and open communication.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports, presentations, and updates for leadership.
  • Customer Interaction: Address customer concerns and engage in improvement initiatives.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor of Science/Arts degree in business, marketing, or engineering or equivalent experience; Master of Business Administration preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of experience Product Management with a track record of successful product launches
  • Passion for and experience with forestry, garden, agriculture, construction tools or commercial equipment preferred
  • Demonstrated success in user experience, product delivery processes, positioning, product strategy and product launch
  • Experience working in a global or multi-national environment preferred
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
  • Proven budget management
  • Excellent communication skills, including business writing, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate knowledgeably and fluently with engineering, technical services and marketing along with a natural ability to relate to customers and prospects
  • Able to develop and present concise product presentations to Senior Leadership Team and customers
  • Collaborative and effective team player and able to work with teams who are globally dispersed
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and data management software (SAP preferred)
  • Available to work on site as required by job; eligible for domestic and international travel several times per year up to two weeks’ duration.

 

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Washington, Colorado, Nevada, California, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Connecticut, Oregon Tool is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Oregon Tool, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $120,000 to $150,000 plus bonus.
