We are seeking an innovative, intellectually curious, high energy, forward-thinking, results-oriented product manager who will be responsible for driving and scaling HireRight’s strategic Applicant Tracking System (ATS) integrations. You will work directly with our ATS partners to create new and enhance existing integrations using our partners’ APIs. You will also be involved with maintaining and enhancing the HireRight APIs suite.  

In this role you will pursue high-potential business opportunities and your success will deliver substantial and measurable value for the company and its customers. You will become a market, customer, and user expert and leverage this expertise to drive strategic roadmap direction and execution. The solutions you build and evolve on the HireRight platform will support hundreds of millions of transactions a year for customers located all over the world. You will work with a globally distributed product development organization and will interface with all the company’s internal functions. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, strategic and tactical minded with a passion for improving user experience and evolving products that is integral to the hiring process. 

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute on the product vision and strategy for HireRight Partner and Customer facing products and applications related to HireRight integrations and APIs 
  • Own and build from conception to launch new ATS integrations that will help our customers hire candidates faster 
  • Drive entire product lifecycle from ideation through development, launch, and go-to-market activities 
  • Create detailed user stories and technical requirements that will support the development of building new and enhancing existing integrations and APIs 
  • Research competitors and products in direct and adjacent markets and collect key insights on user behavior, pain points, and market trends to support data-based decision making 
  • Collaborate with customers, prospects, and partners to understand their business problems and create solutions to meet market needs 
  • Partner with the technology team and key internal stakeholders to define, create and deploy next generation customer-facing technology solutions 
  • Define, manage, and monitor product and business KPI’s for user satisfaction, revenue growth, and adoption rate.  
  • Establish a feedback loop with customers, users, and partners to understand their pain points and identify new products and services that meet their needs and exceed their expectations  

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess a strong track record of APIs and integrations product management with deep customer empathy, technical background, strong execution capability, and a history of building collaborative partnerships and delivering high impact business results. This includes: 

  • 3+ years or equivalent technical experience in a product management or business analysis role 
  • Must have strong experience working with web services, REST and SOAP APIs, including reading technical developer specs and converting them to easy to consume detailed technical requirements 
  • Hands-on experience testing API endpoints using Postman, SoapUI or similar tools 
  • Demonstrated experience in documenting end-to-end business processes and performing gap analysis 
  • Strong experience in software Development environment including working with onshore and offshore software development teams to transform product requirements into customer facing solutions 
  • Experience writing use cases, market requirements, and product requirements 
  • Experience in agile product management and end-to-end product delivery, including feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product 
  • Experience working with ATS (Applicant Tracking System) such as Workday, Oracle Recruiting, SuccessFactors, iCIMS, and/or others 
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product 
  • Exceptional business acumen, analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills 
  • Customer-centric with deep empathy and understanding for customers and users 
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with cross functional teams across the organization 
  • Excellent interviewing, listening, observational, project management, analytical and organizational skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - prioritization, planning and task delegation 
  • Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems independently with an excellent attention to detail 
  • Experience filtering and reading APIs transactions in the logs 
  • Prior experience as software developer, engineer, or designer is a plus 
  • Experience with file-based integrations is a plus 
  • Experience building developer portals, new APIs, self-serve tools, and onboarding automations is a plus  

 

Education: 

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field; or equivalent work experience. MBA a plus.
