The Technical Product Manager - IT will drive execution in the product line without becoming over-focused on micro deliverables, ensure effective delivery in the product line, run, grow, and transform the product line as well as apply technical knowledge to solve business problems. 

 

This position is a Hybrid role based in our Racine, WI office. 

Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with Business Product Manager, prioritizes the backlog and ensures expected value is understood for a product or products, with a moderately complex and small group of stakeholders. Drives backlog refinement activities including story creation in alignment with the portfolio practices
  • Collaborates closely with the team especially scrum masters, engineering leads/managers, and UX/UI leads to provide the right levels of service and support to deliver the overall product and ensures continuous progress across the technical team
  • Works with others in the product and may work with all levels of the organization to manage the flow of new ideas, facilitate IT investment decision making, to avoid redundancy, and manage dependencies
  • Uses functional understanding of the business processes to drive excellence in user stories, CX experience, and Acceptance criteria
  • Engage partners to support important business decisions
  • Partner and collaborate across organizations to optimize outcomes
  • Understands the basic language the product teams use to conduct the business of the team
  • Understands the domains of any core technologies that the product requires to deliver capabilities

The annual salary for this role is $95,250 - $127,000 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Science and Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science or a similar discipline
  • 4+ years of experience in IT with specific knowledge in the business domain in which the product exists
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an Associates degree in IT, Business, or Computer Science subject area plus 7 or more years of experience in IT with specific knowledge in the business domain in which the product exists will be considered

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Familiarity of budgeting and financial management application related to IT projects or products
  • Experience in product or service design, delivery, and or enhancements
  • Experience with product management and the product development life cycle
  • Basic familiarity with the principles of design thinking, and lean and agile software delivery
  • Experience managing projects
