Description

Standard Calibrations, Inc is seeking a high performing project & software product management professional to help us ensure that all our technology-based initiatives receive the proper administration, planning, scheduling, testing and budgeting. This role requires an energetic and versatile project manager equipped with a strong product management principles knowledge. This role will report to the Innovation Director and lead projects of various size and complexities, take ownership of digital products and manage resources while planning both. Successful candidates must be able to interpret specifications, plan project sequencing and coordinate the various phases with stakeholders from all divisions of our company. Crucial to this role will be the ability to write timely and accurate documentation of each roadmap item in accordance with SCI’s quality standards. 


In summary, this role will be a leader in collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, set strategic direction, ensure alignment with business objectives, and drive continuous improvement across SCI’s internal and external systems. 

  

Project Management

  • Provide project leadership within a cross-functional team to deliver new products, features, enhancements and processes.
  • Responsible for project managing SCI’s SDLC process; Lead weekly cross-functional scrum to review critical path / timeline, weekly action tracker status, project updates, etc; Drive team collaboration and accountability for solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Actively manage and drive the critical path timeline, anticipating potential issues and managing issues that arise to maintain project momentum; Identify issues/risks throughout project life along with mitigation steps and owners.
  • Develop a dashboard update that can be used to keep the balance of the organization informed of project portfolio status, including the leadership team.
  • Own and evangelize the adoption of the appropriate project management tool(s) to facilitate companywide collaboration.
  • Own departmental KPI dashboards and budget trackers.

Product Management

  • Own the following products from sunrise to sunset: Sage X3 (ERP), Sage CRM, CalCloud, MOX, Shopify, Paylocity/Portal; Manage product lifecycle, including updates, improvements, and eventual phase-out.
  • Define and communicate the long-term product vision aligned with business goals; Align stakeholders on product strategy and roadmap; Set measurable objectives (OKRs) to guide the product's direction; Communicate product vision and updates to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain a clear, prioritized product roadmap; Prioritize features based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Conduct market research and stay informed about customer needs and trends. Gather customer feedback through interviews, usability tests, and surveys; Act as the voice of the customer to ensure the product meets user needs.
  • Identify potential risks to product success and develop mitigation strategies; Quickly address and resolve issues that arise during development or post-launch.
  • Stay updated on market trends, new technologies, and competitor products; Look for innovation opportunities to keep the product competitive
  • Manage third-party vendor relationships respective to products.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is preferred.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in project management and/or product management preferably in software development, fin-tech, SaaS or mar-tech
  • Proven track record of successfully managing projects from initiation to completion.
  • Experience with project management software tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira, Monday).
  • Experience with product management or ownership. 

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency with project management software.
  • Excellent knowledge of project management principles and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Understanding of budgeting, resource management, and risk management techniques.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to multitask.
