What YOU will do: 

The Product Manager is a full-time position based in our manufacturing plant in Lincolnton, NC. This position will report directly to the Sr. Product Manager. This role is responsible for helping the Sr. Product Manager, Product Manager, Marketing and Sales Team.


In This Role, You Will: 

  • Trade show logistics and planning, setup, and teardown of national trade shows.
  • Will be an active participant in trade shows.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively for national shows.
  • Actively participate in in-house training classes and proving grounds events.
  • Could be assisting in the creation of training materials, teaching, and giving product walk arounds.
  • Create, maintain, and update product price sheets.
  • Maintain current pricing for cooperative purchasing programs.
  • Maintain and track machine and options costs and margins.
  • Work closely with product managers during yearly pricing review meetings.
  • Assist territory managers with bid specs and advise product improvements to increase bid competitiveness.
  • Assist territory managers with machine related questions and issues to support them in the field.
  • Assist marketing team in the creation and maintenance of any specifications, brochures, promotional materials, videos, or other literature to support equipment.
  • Trucks
  • Assist or lead the distributor truck and patcher chassis stock planning, suitability, and purchase quantities for the year.
  • Assist inside sales and engineering with resolving customer supplied chassis suitability issues.
  • Includes determining mix of truck manufacturers to best suit our customers.
  • Work with local dealers to get truck chassis issues corrected and assist with chassis issues our dealers may encounter.
  • Special Options
  • Prioritize, cost, and consult engineering on all special options requested by customers.
  • Advise of necessary machinery changes to increase competitiveness, lower cost, reduce build times etc.
  • May play a role in equipment cost reduction exercises to track and ensure cost reductions are realized.


Requirements

 

What You Need: 


To be successful in this role, you will need:


· Basic knowledge of price sheets, brochures, customer service, and creating/conducting training programs

· Good organizational skills.

· 3-5 years of relevant industry experience in engineering/product management/application support

· Computer skills: MS Office Suite, Power BI, costing, and planning. 

· Knowledge of ERP/MRP business software for BOM structure (a plus but not a top priority).

· Math skills (concepts/probability/statistical/analytics).

· Customer Service skills (ability to build relationships).

· Marketing knowledge.

· Bachelor's degree in engineering/business management or similar experience (a big plus).

· Must be willing to work onsite at our Lincolnton, NC Manufacturing Facility.

· Must be willing to travel.
