The Role

This is an opportunity for a visionary leader to oversee both Billd’s product and technology strategies, driving innovation and operational excellence across the company. The Chief Product Officer will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of Billd’s financial and technology products while leading the product and technology teams. This role combines strategic product leadership with technology oversight, ensuring alignment between customer needs, business goals, and technical capabilities.

 

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be a key member of the executive team, shaping the company’s growth and technological evolution. This role requires a deep understanding of financial and technology products, a passion for solving customer challenges, and the ability to lead high-performing teams.


This role is based in our office in Austin, TX. 

 

What You’ll Do

 

  • Strategic Product and Technology LeadershipDefine the product and technology vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with Billd’s long-term goals and market opportunities.  Collaborate with the executive team to identify growth opportunities and prioritize investments in product and technology.  Drive innovation across financial and technology products to maintain Billd’s competitive edge.
  • Oversee Product and Technology TeamsLead and mentor the product management, engineering, and technology teams, fostering collaboration and delivering high-quality solutions.  Ensure the technology infrastructure is scalable, secure, and aligned with the company’s growth trajectory.  Build and maintain a strong culture of technical excellence, innovation, and accountability.
  • Customer-Focused Product DevelopmentOwn the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and design to development, launch, and iteration.  Engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure product-market fit.  Develop processes for gathering customer feedback, analyzing data, and prioritizing features to deliver world-class products.
  • Technology Oversight and InnovationOversee Billd’s technology architecture and ensure alignment with product goals and business objectives. Evaluate and integrate third-party tools and technologies to complement in-house development.  Drive automation and system efficiencies to support scaling operations.
  • Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to align go-to-market strategies with product offerings.  Collaborate with Risk and Finance teams to ensure product and technology initiatives meet compliance and performance standards. Act as a key advisor to the executive team, providing insights and recommendations on product and technology strategy.
  • Evangelize Billd’s Vision: Represent Billd’s product and technology innovations to internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry leaders. Communicate the value proposition of Billd’s offerings through presentations, forums, and direct engagements.

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, technology leadership, or combined roles within Lending, FinTech, or software companies.
  • Proven track record of launching and managing financial products, lending solutions, or payments systems.
  • Executive technical acumen with experience guiding engineering teams and technology infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and execute product and technology strategies from concept to market.
  • Experience scaling technology platforms to support business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to team management.
  • Metrics-driven mindset with a focus on using data and customer feedback to drive decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in business, technology, or a related field preferred.
