Global Product Manager – Vision Inspection



Duties and Responsibilities: 

Responsible for developing and leading the Maxcess Vision Inspection strategy with the Maxcess Vision Systems (MVS) product line.  Beginning with the former One Box Vision suite of tools and Voice of Customer, this role plans, organizes, and controls the implementation of Vision Inspection through all stages of the product life cycle to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives. Responsibility includes Vision Inspection products for Americas, EMEA and APAC.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

·         Directs the overall global Maxcess Vision Systems strategy, research and development requirements, development, and manufacturing coordination for new and emerging products.

·         Coordinates the Vision Inspection alignment of new products throughout the stage gate process.

·         Provides technical expertise and training to other departments in support of Vision Inspection development.

·         Defines customer/market/product parameters for Vision Inspection leveraging Industry 4.0, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence (AI), etc. with a clear focus on unmet customer needs and generating clear customer value and monetizing that value.

·         Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop and provide Vision Inspection definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.

·         Defines Vision Inspection strategy, prepares and implements tactical plans.

·         Coordinates with the Marketing on how to leverage product and communication for advertising, trade shows and marketing collateral.

·         Conducts market research and identifies and tracks Vision Inspection market trends in company’s industry.

·         Produces competitive analysis materials comparing Maxcess Vision Inspection solutions with its key competitors.

·         Assists in the development of pricing strategy & policies around value to Vision Inspection, generates sales aids, tools, and supports the sales activity by conducting technical presentations.

·        Travels extensively (30%+) to develop Vision Inspection strategies, support product launches and provide Vision Inspection support in Americas, EMEA and APAC.



Candidate Qualifications:

·         A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university with a marketing, business or engineering major

·         Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience and/or training in Vision Inspection solutions. Experience should be broad-based and demonstrate results oriented, collaborative, team oriented, and highly responsive performance.

·         Demonstrated track record of providing leadership in product management in a complex and rapidly changing environment is essential.

·         While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

·        The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

 

Job Qualifications and Experience:

 

·          ·    An MBA from a recognized college or university with a marketing, business or engineering major preferred

    ·  Experience in Industry 4.0 and Internet of Things preferred.

·          ·     Significant experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma is a plus.
