GENERAL SUMMARY\:

As a member of the Knowledge and Innovation Department (K&I), the Innovation Product Manager will direct K&I’s efforts to implement solutions that help lawyers work more efficiently and deliver better client services. The Innovation Product Manager will work closely with Knowledge Management and Practice Innovation Attorneys, the Practice & Client Solutions team and other stakeholders to evaluate, manage and drive adoption for the firm’s innovation solutions. The Innovation Product Manager will be responsible for deploying new solutions and identifying existing solutions in the K&I portfolio to better serve the firm’s knowledge-sharing, artificial intelligence and technology efforts for lawyers and clients.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·    Collaborate with K&I team members, lawyers and business professionals to identify and implement technology and data-driven solutions to fulfill firm use cases.

·    Oversee a portfolio of innovation solutions and be responsible ensuring those solutions meet firm requirements and align with strategic goals.

·    Facilitate exploratory meetings, requirement gathering and design sessions with firm stakeholders.

·    Develop and execute communication and change management strategies to promote innovative ideas and persuade a variety of stakeholders, including lawyers, business professionals and leadership.

·    Plan and deliver demonstrations and training on firm solutions to lawyers, business professionals and clients.

·    Direct the creation of documentation including end-user guides and training materials, along with instructions for system administrators.

·    Negotiate and manage vendor contracts and relationships related to innovation solutions portfolio, advocate for platform enhancements and leverage vendor expertise to benefit innovation projects.

·    Advocate for the needs of firm lawyers and clients through collaboration with vendors on their product roadmaps.

·    Partner with Information Systems on integrating innovation solutions with internal firm systems.

·    Coordinate installations, upgrades and troubleshooting efforts alongside third party vendors.

·    Analyze and report on usage and adoption of innovation solutions and provide recommendations for improvement.

·    Ensure the quality and usability of innovation solutions adheres to department standards.

·    Demonstrate strong familiarity and ability to be hands-on with a variety of legal technologies including client collaboration, data visualization, document drafting, precedent location and transaction management.

·    Manage new product pilots including the creation of test scripts, promotional materials and training guides.

·    Lead research, evaluation and testing of new legal technologies and provide feedback to firm stakeholders and vendors.

·    Stay current on new legal technologies by reviewing daily news feeds on new products and peer firm initiatives. Report out to the team any new information relevant to current work or goals.

·    Complete other projects as assigned by members of the K&I team.

Qualifications\: Undergraduate degree. 4 years of experience in a role supporting practice technology solutions required.

Competencies

·    Experience in knowledge management, innovation or legal engineering, preferably with a law firm, consulting firm, or legal technology company.

·    Familiarity with legal processes for corporate, litigation and regulatory practices.

·    Advanced analytical, problem-solving and design skills, with attention to detail and quality.

·    Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication and presentation skills and ability to establishing strong working relationships with peers, leadership and legal and business professionals.

·    Highly developed organizational and time management abilities, including the ability to shift priorities as needed to meeting competing project demands.

·    Self-starter with a developed ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently and with a high degree of professionalism and client service orientation.

·    Strong sense of urgency and professional dedication.

·    Ability to quickly master new applications and technologies.

·    Knowledge of generative AI and related fields of artificial intelligence, as they apply to the legal industry.

·    Fluency with user experience design and web usability and how to leverage both  disciplines to optimize lawyer workflows.

·    Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

·    Flexibility and willingness to work extended hours as required.

WORK REQUIREMENTS\:

This is a hybrid role which requires in-office attendance in accordance with the schedule set forth by the department. A hybrid schedule is an essential function of this role. 

 

 

Salary:

$130,000 - $200,000. Paul, Weiss offers competitive compensation and benefits packages.  The firm considers a number of factors when determining compensation, including, but not limited to, education, years of experience, levels of experience, competency levels and other relevant skills and qualifications.
