Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

This role is primarily focused on defining and driving growth initiatives, go-to-market programs and related communications, events, customer advocacy programs, and developer initiatives for customers. The role will need to closely work with OCI Sales team to have full visibility on forecast, driving consumption growth initiatives. The key responsibility will be also to collect the feedback and expected roadmap items to work with inbound team to deliver influenced by customer demands a roadmap for future development. The position will be as a key resource for development initiatives including: running development driven customer outreach programs, maintaining relationship with key customers and partners, keeping relationship with key Oracle Field technical specialists through frequent in-person visits, trainings, and roadmap sessions.

Driving the adoption of Verrazzano and WebLogic Server for OCI in North America will be the key focus, so understanding of those two products in particular will be essential.

This role is also responsible for leading cross-functional meetings with inbound and outbound product management, product marketing, business development and field sales including the discovery, planning, qualification, prioritization and execution of external customer and developer initiatives and events.Ā

Professional qualifications and skills:

  • Technical experience with Oracle Middleware, IaaS, PaaS portfolio or competitive products
  • Deep Expertise with Oracle WebLogic Server in particular
  • Proven record of understanding the WebLogic Server market in North America
  • Knowledge of the current trends in the development: Containers, Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Native
  • Solid knowledge of the competitive products like AWS, Openshift, Pivotal Cloud Foundry
  • Very good oral and written communication skill for all type of audiences (internal, customers, developers, c-level execs)
  • Strong business acumen and program management skills to work across development, sales and marketing organizations


Essential Functions:

  • This position requires the deep technical knowledge of the Oracle WebLogic Server and WebLogic Server for OCI product and also proven record of successes in working with enterprise-level customers at all levels in the organization.
  • The candidate must have superior relationship management skills with proven ability to collaborate and influence internal and external constituents to drive towards a shared goal.
  • Effective program management skills, ability to adapt to change and prioritize to meet tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of, and interest in, current technology trends, their impact on business strategy, and its implications for senior managers creating and sustaining competitive advantage and transforming business processes.
  • Expertise in tracking the delivery of Product Management and Engineering and successful delivery of content across all phases of the planning cycle for Oracle and 3rd party conferences and special interest groups, including but not limited to: working closely with event organizers, managing and tracking call for papers content, demonstrations hands on labs, presentations, customer involvement, and growing the pipeline for customer references.
  • Team player/leader, experience in working with multi-cultural and virtual teams
  • Prior experience in middleware, enterprise software, technology consulting, or managing large technology projects is desirable.
  • The ability to effectively and credibly serve as a representative of the product development organization in a large corporation.
  • Attention to detail is a must while staying focused on the big picture; ability to think outside the box to achieve desired results.
  • Very strong interpersonal and communication skills

As a member of the product development division, you will specify, design and implement major changes to existing software architecture. Define project needs. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to ensure consistency, testability and portability across products in general.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.
