Accruent Product Manager - Workplaces

 

Job Summary:

The Accruent Product Manager is responsible for the joint creation of the overall strategy, development, and success of a Workplaces product or product line. They work directly with the Product Line GM / VP who will partner with them as they work to define product vision, set strategic goals, and ensure that the product delivers value to customers and aligns with the company's business objectives while collaborating cross-functionally for the duration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy: Develop and communicate a comprehensive product strategy in partnership with the Product Line GM, including long-term goals, market positioning, and growth opportunities.
  • Market Research: Continuously monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities and threats. Conduct market research and analysis to inform product decisions.
  • Roadmap Creation: Develop and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the vision and key milestones for the product's development and evolution.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment and effective execution of the product strategy.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on the product's progress and soliciting feedback.
  • Prioritization: Define and prioritize features and initiatives, taking into account customer feedback, business goals, and technical constraints.
  • Translation: Work with the lead Product Manager and/or senior leader to translate future vision and requirements into clearly broken down epics and stories.  Ensure that all team members understand and align with the product's goals.
  • User Story Development: Break down high-level product requirements into detailed user stories that can be understood and implemented by the development team. Ensure these stories are ready for implementation and meet strong agile/SAFE standards.
  • Sprint Planning: Participate in sprint planning meetings to select user stories and tasks for the upcoming sprint. Work with the team to ensure they have a clear understanding of the work to be done.
  • Product Development: Work closely with the Product Owner Engineering to guide product development, from concept to launch. Define requirements and ensure user stories and other agile activities align with your goals and objectives for the product.
  • Product Launch: Plan and execute product launches in tight collaboration with product marketing.  This will include influencing marketing strategies, sales enablement, and customer training.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the product's success, including Quality Assurance, and track its performance over time. Make data-driven decisions based on these metrics and roll them up to higher level leaders for awareness.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire product lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life, including updates, enhancements, and retirements.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the product budget with your GM, including resource allocation and cost control.
  • Customer Feedback Integration: Collect and analyze customer feedback to enhance the product and address issues or areas for improvement.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, computer science) or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in product management, or being a Product Owner, including a track record of successful product launches.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and product management methodologies.
  • Understanding and awareness of AI tools to help expedite product management work 
  • Experience building AI tooling, analytics, and predictive intelligence into products with concrete examples
  • Analytical mindset and ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Market research and competitive analysis skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Location: in Austin or Central Texas with the ability to spend days in the Austin office for specific projects or events with Product and Engineering teams (estimated <20% of the time)
