In service of this goal, we have a high visibility, high impact product management role in the Experience Platform team to help grow the capabilities at scale to deliver on the promise of Rakuten Rewards’ core value proposition. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, Operations, Data, and Sales to continuously evolve our market-leading offerings.

Join our Experience Platform team as a Product Manager, reporting to the Group Product Manager, to help grow the capabilities of the platform powering Rakuten Rewards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the platform feature requests from various stakeholders, especially in the areas of accessibility, event logging, and platform extensibility for cross-tribe applications.
  • Gather requirements and prioritize the requests based on business impact.
  • Assess the projects with the engineering team, for sizing/scoping, feasibility analysis.
  • Be able to converse at a functional and technical level with engineering to help translate from feature to technical requirements.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to create a self-service tutorials or AI powered documentation for the users of our platform.
  • Collaborate closely with other tribes to identify broader applicability of features to shape the requirements that solve in a general and scalable fashion.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience delivering on projects that benefit cross-functional teams in a collaborative manner.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong self-problem-solving and analytic skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with software development and agile methodologies and tools.
  • Comfortably self-reliant in performing analysis to drive data informed decisions.
  • Experience dealing with accessibility, WCAG standards, and related implementation across applications is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Java, Groovy, iOS & Android development is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SQL query on PostgreSQL is a plus.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:        

  • 2-3 years of experience in product management or equivalent, with a focus on integrated backend systems, APIs, or related areas.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. MBA or MS in computer science, engineering or equivalent is a plus.

Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.
