Description

Cerner's Real-Time Health System Product Management group is hiring a Lead Product Owner to define and prioritize features and user stories within an agile team's backlog to streamline execution and quality of product development. In this role, you will develop story and feature acceptance criteria; review and accept backlog items as ready; perform functional testing, including user acceptance and exploratory testing; and evaluate risks and perform hazard analysis for development activities. You will be expected to track product functionality and performance, as required by regulatory standards, to ensure that it meets market needs; facilitate key agile ceremonies, such as the sprint review; and manage ongoing communications between product and scrum teams. Finally, you will contribute ideas and suggestions to product component and feature roadmaps and assist with producing product documentation, including help notes and release announcements. Responsibilities
  • Product Vision & Strategy: Define and implement the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Event Management and Communications products, in line with the OHAI portfolio strategy.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Engage with healthcare stakeholders to gather insights, ensuring the products address market needs.
  • Product Development & Innovation: Drive new product development and enhancements to existing solutions, utilizing innovative approaches to meet market demands and improve competitive positioning.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, consulting, sales, and other teams to manage product releases, integration, and successful deployment to clients.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage market research, analytics, and feedback to inform product direction and prioritize features based on customer impact and business goals.
  • Agile Product Management: Own the product backlog, define user stories, and lead Agile development to deliver solutions that address real-world healthcare challenges.
  • Thought Leadership & Evangelism: Serve as a product ambassador, sharing the product vision and strategy through presentations, conferences, and social media.
  • Quality & Continuous Improvement: Maintain a focus on delivering high-quality solutions and fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure development processes are being met and well documented to ensure your product maintains regulatory compliance. Serve as the product representative during external regulatory audits (i.e. FDA, MDSAP).

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $78,000 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
