Role Description

As Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for managing a product line throughout the entire lifecycle. This extends from increasing current profitability to future strategy of existing products. You will be responsible for coordinating cross-functionally to make decisions related to products on current and future defect fixes and enhancement opportunities.  You will leverage your industry experience and your contact with customers / prospects to ensure that all product needs are being evaluated and decisioned. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand customer problems and find innovative solutions for the broader market and work internally to understand the full scope of the product line. You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will lead the roadmap for an engineering team to define product-related requirements and make decisions related to feature or application prioritization, including potential migration / sunsetting. You will work with marketing communications to define the end of support strategy while helping them understand the longer-term product positioning, key benefits, and target customer.  This Senior Product Manager role is both strategic and tactical.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
  • Deep expertise in launching programs related to product migrations
  • Driving prioritization across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering and Marketing Communications)
  • Developing and implementing a company-wide feature migration plan, working with all departments to execute
  • Ability to proactively communicate with leadership and cross-functionally to ensure all key stakeholders are aware of updates and recommendations
  • Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product

Qualifications

  • 8 - 10 years of software product management and client relationship management experience
  • Experience working across internal and external teams to communicate and ensure detailed execution path with the ability to say “no”
  • Ability to prioritize critical decisions quickly
  • The ability to be both strategic to get products to the market and detail-oriented to develop and execute product migration tactics
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of web technology concepts
  • This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites (25%)
