About the job

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Product Marketing Manager to drive the evangelism and adoption of SAS Viya - Machine Learning, Statistics, Forecasting, Optimization and Advanced Analytics offerings in our Global Product Marketing organization.

 

You will play a pivotal role in promoting and accelerating adoption of our Advanced Analytics portfolio, leading go-to-market including product releases, launches, positioning and messaging, web strategy, marketing campaigns, and event content. You will take ownership of developing and implementing marketing strategies that communicate the value and capabilities of our advanced analytics products to a diverse audience.

This role requires deep understanding of advanced analytics technology, AI and analytics life cycle platforms market, ability to translate technical concepts into compelling narratives, cross-functional collaboration, and a strategic approach to drive market adoption.

 

You will work with internal stakeholders within the marketing organization, product management, other area PMMs, technical sales and alliances teams to define, deliver and streamline product content and marketing initiatives surrounding SAS Viya and the advanced analytics technologies that underpin the platform. As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will:

  • Creates and communicates positioning and product marketing plans based on advanced analytics domain expertise which leads the development of messaging and positioning.
  • Collaborate with the product management and engineering teams to align marketing efforts with product development and roadmap.
  • Defines buyer personas, end users and target audience profiles.
  • Positions SAS capabilities for the general market, specific markets and/or applicable buyers and drives the creation of key messages and stories to support decision makers and users.
  • Drives thought leadership activities including articles, whitepapers, blogs, videos, customer reference and story development, speaking engagements and involvement with key 3rd party organizations in collaboration with our global campaign teams.
  • Identifies existing and emerging technology and industry trends and articulates SAS’s position regarding these trends and issues.
  • Supports sales enablement through customer engagements, consulting, and internal education programs.
  • Ensures all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization’s secure software development goals.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in product marketing, customer advisory or solution consulting roles, with focus on AI and advanced analytics technologies.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
  • Strong understanding of advanced analytics including algorithms, architecture, training process and deployment.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Strong writing skills including the ability to translate technical information into simple, audience-appropriate language.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to define product launch plans and work with internal and external parties to execute.
  • Identify competitor advances in the market and works with internal parties to define and drive competitive approaches/responses.
  • Participate in enablement strategies for SAS with partners and alliances.
  • Responsible for content for internal self-service enablement sites and sales tools.
