Aderant is seeking a Technical Product Manager for our next generation platform.

As Technical Product Manager, you will contribute to team that has responsibility for our next generation software as a service platform. This includes a set of services consumed by application teams for integration as well as services that could be consumed by our customers and partners. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; understand the bigger picture company, product and technical vision and translate that to your area of platform roadmap. You must enjoy spending time with your customer, whether that happens to be an Aderant application team, an external customer, or a partner, to under their requirements in detail as well as market and competitive conditions and dynamics. You must be able to communicate within and outside of your team. You will work with an engineering counterpart to define product release requirements. You will work with your product management application counterparts to under their platform requirements. You will work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market integration into the wider product and company plan. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your platform area. Your role as a platform product manager will have to marry the strategic with the tactical in working with your Engineering, Product and Marketing counterparts.
• 5 - 8 years of software technical product management experience including working on an enterprise B2B platform.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical needs with strong analytics skills
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Knowledge and understanding of modern technology concepts
• This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites (25%)
• Specific platform services areas with prior knowledge: Commercialization (marketplace, entitlement, cross company systems integration), customer and partner development and customization center, Notification and other event based services.
• Managing the entire product line life cycle for your platform services area from strategic planning to tactical activities
• Specifying requirements that meet the needs of integrating application teams, customers and partners.
• Driving a solution set across development teams for your platform services area (primarily Development/Engineering and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning
• Developing, integrating with and implementing a go to market plan that aligns with application team plans.
• Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product
