Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team is building new IaaS and PaaS technologies that operate at high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. The OCI Strategic Product Management team can provide you with the opportunity to lead the product strategy for OCI’s largest product investments. This group is leading the product vision, incubation, and initial development of products and cloud services with scope across the entire OCI platform.

As a Sr Principal Product Manager, you will be leading the technical and commercial product vision, incubation, and responsible for the success of new OCI features and platforms. You would be passionately helping customers accelerate their cloud migration journey while delivering OCI services with a deep understanding of customers’ and OCI’s strategic business objectives. A strong technical background and track record of bar-raising success in database and cloud infrastructure are required to develop a concrete understanding of the customer demand, specifications and work closely with engineering to grow and extend the platform.


This is a very complex and rewarding work that involves the application of advanced technical/business skills the noted areas of specialization, while navigating and providing directional guidance and mentorship to the team. This role requires product management expertise, leadership skills, and strong business judgment.

Responsibilities displayed in the job posting

  • Gathering customer and partner feature requests and feedback while influencing client’s product direction and OCI services���������� evolution. 
  • Driving rapid customer and partner adoption of new products and platforms by working directly with customers, account teams, and engineering teams to anticipate customer needs.
  • Owning the strategy and the execution plan for OCI�������s cutting-edge platform adoption with a strong focus on customer experience.
  • Incubating products and platforms, identifying new workload patterns and use cases.
  • Working closely with engineering teams translating business requirements into technical requirements to help shape the future roadmap of OCI services.
  • Driving alignment on product features, business metrics, and business strategies.
  • Presenting solutions to customers and partners at multiple levels, from engineers up to CxO. 
  • Explaining transformational concepts to executive decision makers and influencing their technology strategy.
  • Leading the development of short-, medium-, and long-term plans to achieve strategic objectives for exponential customer and partner adoption on the cloud platform.
  • Driving lighthouse wins while developing and executing scalable adoption programs and identifying repeatable solutions to solve customers���������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������� challenges and help the broader field organization. 
  • Developing a passion for educating, training, and enabling cloud solutions experts for a challenging set of customers and circumstances
  • Be the voice of customers and partners with Oracle��������������������������������������s various cloud engineering teams.

 

 Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a database/cloud platform environment working with large Enterprises.
  • 8+ years of experience leading infrastructure teams.
  • Significant experience with enterprise IT and implementation as well as a working knowledge of and experience in security and compliance issues.
  • Ability to create detailed customer engagement plans to keep up with the high velocity of features being delivered on the platform.
  • Deep understanding of cloud competitive landscape, customer priorities and challenge.
  • Strong technical acumen, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Deep experience migrating application portfolios to Cloud.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and speaking skills.

Responsibilities

As a member of the product development division, you will specify, design and implement major changes to existing software architecture. Define project needs. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to ensure consistency, testability and portability across products in general.

US: Hiring Range: from $114,500 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
