Overview

Come join the Business Platform team as a Product Manager for SaaS subscription, where you will foster an environment of technology innovation, user value, and execution. In this role, you will co-create with the product team to build our technology platform to enable a SaaS subscription business model.

 

The product manager will deliver a best-in-class, continuously evolving platform that unlocks value and scale for our end customers across the customer lifecycle (pre and post sales) to build a best-in-class platform and user experience for SaaS subscription.  A successful product manager will be:

  • User and impact-centric: has deep empathy and business understanding for SaaS subscription models to deliver simple experiences with innovative capabilities and appreciates the business process & mindset change management required
  • Partner-focused: closely collaborate with QSC’s product teams and development teams to deliver new capabilities through technology that will scale the business
  • Test-and-learn mindset: prove value quickly through MVPs and iterate before building at-scale solutions

  • Hands-on: has the capability and mindset to personally utilize tools and dig into data
  • Curious: keeps up with the latest in technology & AI and continuously finding ways to inject these new capabilities into what we build

Base Salary Range 129,000 – 175,000

 

The above reflects the pay range that QSC reasonably expects to pay for this role. This pay range also depends on various factors such as job duties and requirements, relevant experience and skills and geographic location. In addition to the base salary range, QSC offers a comprehensive package including but not limited to health benefits, 401K or Roth retirement plans, generous time off and profit sharing

Responsibilities

Product Vision

  • Business case definition: define business case (ROI) to champion resourcing required to deliver on vision
  • Innovation thought leadership: understand the latest technology and AI that can bring step change in business capabilities and collaborate with GTM business product owner to continuously shape vision
  • Development team evangelism: help internal and 3rd party development teams understand the business vision to always understand the “why”

 

Product Research, Build, Prioritization

  • Design thinking: utilize user-centric design thinking to collaborate with product owner to design target user journey & business processes
  • Translation and solution design: translate target state journey into required product / platform capabilities. Lead architecture & development team to design tools and solution to meet needs aligned to overall enterprise tech strategy
  • MVP / test and learn: design MVPs and test plans before committing to dev backlog.  Collaborate with product owner to define teams and methodology to pilot
  • Backlog management: develop user stories, create product backlog, and lead feasibility assessment.  Collaborate with product owner to prioritize backlog and utilize problem solving to provide recommendations
  • Agile development: Facilitate cross-functional team syncs using agile ceremonies to deliver effective solutions without compromising quality and timeliness
  • Risks and interdependencies: Manage project risks and interdependencies by reporting, communicating and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Performance management:  collect, organize and analyze data in order to track and share metrics with leadership and project stakeholders

 

Value Unlock, Scaling, and Change Management

  • Issue resolution: drive issue resolution with immediacy through war rooms and collaborate with business & development to prioritize and manage backlog of fixes
  • Measurement: collaborate with product owner to define priority KPIs and work with development team to deliver the instrumentation to measure and report
  • A/B testing: collaborate with architecture & development to build the right tools to enable A/B testing & measurement and collaborate with product owner to build the backlog of tests to run
  • CI/CD: Collaborate with Quality and DevOps teams to ensure test plans and launch plans exist with back-up and restore procedures
  • Change management: Participate in change management and launch support
  • Codification for scaling: Author program manifestos, stakeholder maps, and project confluence, and maintain central repository of project documentation

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in CS, Eng, or a related field. 

Experience

  • 5 Years of technical product management experience (platforms, shared services, developer services, etc.) with passion to accelerate ideas to outcomes
  • 3-5 years of software development with design and architecture experience prior to product management
  • Experience with building SaaS Subscription Platforms (e.g., entitlements, billing), ideally experience with platforms such as Aria and 10 Duke
  • Ability to work independently as a PM, manage stakeholders, and have a track record of execution
  • Capability to write product guides/simple documentation for users, demo products, and create detailed user stories/Jira tickets with UX wireframes
  • Is data-driven with a proven track record identifying product experience success measures while working with analytics teams/tools to track KPIs
  • Excellent communication skills – both oral and written and a track record of gaining the confidence executive management
  • An exceptional drive - applying the nuances of influencing based on the situation, knowing when to push and when to ease, driving through designs, ideas, and roadmaps
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environments
