Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Product Owner to join our team and lead the development of our cutting-edge AI/ML products, specifically within the realm of IT applications and solutions. The Senior Product Owner is responsible for leading and mentoring SHI teams and segments to drive the development and optimization of our internal product portfolio. You will collaborate closely with leadership, cross-functional teams, including ML Engineers, Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Business Analysts and stakeholders to define product strategy, prioritize initiatives, gather detailed requirements, and deliver best-in-class AI/ML-based software solutions. This role will encompass defining the product vision and strategy for AI/ML applications in IT, aligning these goals with business objectives and market demands.

 

This position is to report to the SHI Austin, TX office location as determined by SHI management.

Responsibilities

Include, but not limited to 

  • Conduct market research and product analysis to inform product decisions
  • Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for AI/ML applications in IT
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to prioritize initiatives and gather detailed requirements, write detailed product specifications, write Epics and Users Stories and acceptance criteria
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap
  • Manage the product backlog and ensure alignment with business objectives 
  • Lead and mentor SHI teams to drive product development and optimization. 
  • Participate in sprint planning, review completed work, and ensure quality standards
  • Perform user acceptance testing to accept completed work
  • Write release notes

Qualifications

  • 7+ years' experience in driving product vision, roadmap, design and communication
  • 3+ years' experience driving strategic initiatives within the AI//ML domain
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
  • 3+ years' experience with Agile principles, leading scrums, building user stories, writing specifications, and managing team resources 
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and software development processes 
  • Familiarity with the complete product and software development cycle
  • Previous management experience preferred but not
  • Proficiency in Jira, Conflunce, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Required Skills

  • Experience building user stories, writing product specifications, and managing team resources
  • Knowledge of Agile principles
  • Ability to advocate for your ideas and influence people at all levels across a wide variety of job functions

  • Deep understanding of customer needs and user-centric design

Additional Information

  • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $110,000 - $160,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
