Your Role and Impact
The Product Manager (PM) will be responsible for the overall success of assigned category. You will develop, manage, and strategize all activities, achieving goals of market positioning, revenue, market share and profitability.
Day to Day Responsibilities
50% of time should be spent in planning:
- Recommend new product opportunities through market analysis, industry/technology trends, and “Voice of Customer”.
- Develop business strategy for AV product category. This includes how the product is positioned in the market, within the category’s product portfolio, and how it contributes to the company’s strategic objectives.
- Manage AV products through their complete product life cycle by direct participation and leadership in all cross-functional activities. This includes managing the product from launch, through the maturity cycle, and end-of-life transitions.
- Recommend pricing and promotional strategies for all current and new AV products to ensure their competitiveness within the target market. Concurrently, monitor the products gross/net margins and ensure the product is meeting the company’s financial and or strategic expectations.
- Provide forecast for AV products’ market demand and financial results that include sales revenue, market share, gross/net product margin, and promotional cost.
- Create demand generation plans for existing products and / or new technology. The plan may include programs that help switch market demand from a competitor’s products to ours.
- Keeps abreast of industry trends, competitive moves, and development trends for the purpose of enhancing overall market knowledge in AV products.
30% of time should be spent in customers, sales support and press relationship:
- Accountable for being the “Product Champion” and key company spokesperson for the AV product category. Understands the product, channel characteristics, and competitive forces for the channels the products are targeted at. Develop and implement the strategies and tactics to ensure the product line success in its targeted market.
- Capable of presenting to the Field Sales team, internal/external customers, and press ViewSonic corporate strategy, as well as responsible products’ technical roadmap and regular updates.
- Responsible for feedback follow-throughs of product development, pricing, and programs. Make recommendations for these opportunities.
- Able to travel with the Field Sales team for customer visits, customer sales training, and customer event supports; with the PR group for press tours; and with Marketing and Sales team for trade show/roadshow support. Overseas travel may be required for global product planning meetings.
20% of time should be spent in coordination, communications and training:
- Drive and coordinate with MarCom and Channel Marketing Departments the development of market launch strategies, product positioning statements, functional specifications, ad copy, WEB information, sales training information, and ensure they are disseminated to the appropriate parties.
- Interface between Sales, Customer Service, and Product Development teams, to ensure product enhancement opportunities and quality feedback are proactively communicated for inclusion in the design cycle
- Participate in international conference calls for product development updates, supply updates, and problem area/action plan identifications.
- Conduct the Company’s new hire training, sales training, customer training, PR briefings through Webinars, sales meetings, customer visits or PR tours.
Your Profile
- BA/BS degree in Business or related field, MBA preferred.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in AV product management or product marketing responsibility required
- Familiarity with the setup, programming, and troubleshooting of Crestron and Extron control systems, as well as other AV control technologies. Able to integrate these systems to enhance user experience and streamline operations in conference rooms and other AV environments.
- Familiarity with configuring and managing Microsoft Teams Rooms, ensuring seamless video conferencing and collaboration.
- Experience managing and configuring Microsoft Intune for device and application management
- Must be self-motivated, energetic, creative, mathematically and analytically inclined with experience in strategic planning.
- Must have some experience in “classical” marketing and motivating distribution channels.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and participate in conference calls with Asia regularly or as the situation requires.
- Results-driven and have the ability to coordinate well with different functions.
- Strong presentation, writing and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient PC skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Work Environment & Requirements
- Environment: Hybrid, 3 days in office, 2 days remote
- Travel: Up to 25% travel, mostly to attend major tradeshows with occasional customer visits
