Who You Are:

ExtensisHR is seeking an Unemployment Insurance Product Manager who will provide program leadership for the company while successfully overseeing all pricing, cost management, legal entity planning, and voluntary contribution strategies.  The Unemployment Insurance Product Manager will be part of the finance and report directly to the CFO. The Unemployment Insurance Product Manager is responsible for managing the pricing and compliance of unemployment insurance programs. This role involves forecasting rates, analyzing risk, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and leading a team of analysts to optimize pricing and cost strategies.

What You'll Do:

  • Rate Forecasting: Develop and maintain models to forecast unemployment insurance rates based on historical data, economic indicators, and legislative changes.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all pricing strategies comply with state and federal regulations. Identify potential risks associated with pricing decisions and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Legal Entity Strategy: Develop and implement the company’s legal entity strategy by state regarding unemployment insurance for both PEO and Client reported states.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of pricing analysts. Provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data related to unemployment claims and economic trends to inform pricing decisions. Utilize statistical methods to assess the impact of various factors on pricing.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with state agencies, finance teams, and other stakeholders to align pricing strategies with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and presentations on pricing strategies, compliance issues, and market trends for senior management.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements within the pricing function to improve efficiency and accuracy.

What You Bring:

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A professional certification relating to unemployment insurance.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in pricing, underwriting, or financial analysis, preferably within the insurance or unemployment insurance sector. A strong preference for direct leadership in unemployment insurance in the PEO industry.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical analysis software and Excel. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with unemployment insurance regulations and economic principles affecting unemployment rates.
